We would like to thank the team at the EGL2 Construction Project in Peterhead for organising a bake sale fundraiser in support of MindLink Multicultural Counselling & Psychological Services, raising £533.50. Their generosity helps ensure that culturally responsive and accessible counselling remains available to diverse communities, supporting early mental health care where it is most needed.

We delivered a wellbeing and mental health session in a local construction site. The session offered psychoeducation and clear routes to support with different struggles. By bringing mental health conversations directly into the workplace, we aim to reduce stigma and make help more accessible for working-age men.

We have started a new series of workshops on minority stress, which refers to the additional stress that people from minority or marginalised groups may experience due to ongoing barriers, stigma, or exclusion. It differs from everyday stress because it can accumulate over time and is shaped by social conditions rather than individual factors. Through these workshops, we support minority communities by building understanding and sharing practical, supportive strategies to help manage stress and protect wellbeing.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve received support from The National Lottery Community Fund’s Ethnic Minority Development Fund! This funding will help us reach more people in communities that don’t always get the mental health support they need, and it will also support counselling students from minority backgrounds - including Polish speakers - by giving them the opportunity to develop their skills with us. A huge thank you to The National Lottery and everyone who made this possible.
