Counselling for ethnic and national minority communities and any people facing financial or structural barriers to mental health care, available online across Scotland and in person in Aberdeen.
At MindLink, we believe that professional counselling should be accessible, flexible and within reach for everyone.
We offer individual counselling for adults, alongside community-based mental health promotion and outreach.
We’re a small charity with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, inclusive and culturally responsive counselling, particularly for ethnic and national minority communities and anyone in Scotland who faces financial or other structural barriers to accessing mental health support.
Our volunteers are qualified counsellors or counsellors in training, working under professional supervision. We provide counselling in English, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Mandarin and, where possible, other languages spoken within our team. We draw on recognised therapeutic approaches while considering each person’s culture, circumstances, preferences and values, working collaboratively to provide support that meets their individual needs.
Advance health by offering professional counselling and mental health promotion that recognises the impact of culture, identity, and systemic factors on well-being.
Reduce inequalities by making mental health support more accessible to those who face barriers, strengthening both individuals and their communities.
There are different ways to support MindLink.
Your donation helps us provide free or low-cost counselling, workshops, and mental health promotion for people facing barriers to support. We manage our funds very carefully, apply for available funding, and use every nonprofit benefit we can. We do our best, but we still need your help with our ongoing costs like clinical supervision, materials and venue. Thank you in advance for your support.
Alongside donating, there may be opportunities to contribute your time or skills to our work. If you’re interested, please get in touch - we’d be happy to have a conversation about how you might be able to help.
